About this design

A leafy beard, an oak-leaf crown and six hundred years of waiting.

The story behind it

From about the 11th to the 16th century, medieval stone carvers hid leafy faces all over Europe's churches and cathedrals: on roof bosses high in the vaults, on corbels and beneath the choir-stall seats. Nobody signed them or wrote down what they meant, and in 1939 the folklorist Lady Raglan gave them the name the Green Man. Most of them are still up there today, waiting for someone to look up.

Proposed colors: Natural

Mockups show the print at true scale on a size M tee. Colors are proposed, not final.
