The story behind it
In a December 1621 letter, printed in London in 1622, Edward Winslow wrote the only surviving eyewitness description of the autumn feast at Plymouth that we now call the first Thanksgiving. He tells of fowling, recreation and about ninety Wampanoag men who joined and brought five deer, but he never mentions pie.

Mockups show the print at true scale on a size M tee. Colors are proposed, not final.
