About this design

A dark dress, a paint palette and an easel.

The story behind it

Anne Brontë's The Tenant of Wildfell Hall was first published in 1848 under the pen name Acton Bell. It follows Helen Graham, a mysterious young woman believed to be a widow, who moves with her young son into Wildfell Hall, an old mansion that had stood empty for years. She earns her own living by selling her paintings, which was unusual for a woman of her time, and her private ways set the village gossiping. Her secret is that she fled a harmful marriage to protect her son. Many critics call the novel one of the first feminist novels.

Proposed colors: Natural

Mockups show the print at true scale on a size M tee. Colors are proposed, not final.
