About this design
A saw on his back, a book and a thumbs-up.
The story behind it
Two of the twelve Apostles were named Simon. To tell them apart, the Gospel of Luke and the Acts of the Apostles call the second one Saint Simon the Zealot, while Matthew and Mark call him the Cananaean. Little else is written about him; tradition holds that he preached the Gospel far from home and died a martyr, which is why he is often shown with a saw. His feast day is October 28.
