About this design
A wide black hat, a brown coat and a schoolbook.
The story behind it
Nathan Hale was a Yale graduate and Connecticut schoolteacher who became a captain in the Continental Army. In September 1776 he went behind British lines on Long Island to gather information. He was captured on September 21 and hanged in New York City the next day, at age 21. His last words are traditionally reported as "I only regret that I have but one life to lose for my country." No firsthand record of them survives, and historians question the exact wording.
Proposed colors: Natural
Mockups show the print at true scale on a size M tee. Colors are proposed, not final.
